Façade Structural Engineer
WINTECH provide high level façade engineering, design & test facilities across the construction industry for many "blue chip" Clients. You will be joining an International Company of 30 years standing, whose name is well-known throughout the industry. Much of Wintech's work is repeat business reflecting strong Client relationships, is very diverse and technically challenging.

This position will be based at the Wolverhampton office.
You are probably already involved in the curtainwall & cladding industry either in the UK or abroad and may also have held a technical position in design or site management of major curtainwall projects. English need not be your first language but good written and oral skills are essential.
You will be a formally qualified Structural Engineer with current membership of the IStructE or equivalent and be familiar with a structural finite element analysis package such as STAAD. You will be able to provide wind load analysis and structural façade verification calculations for facades constructed from aluminium, glass, steel and stainless steels to relevant British standards. You will have a sound technical knowledge of the curtainwall and cladding industry, an appreciation of the technologies, techniques and varied materials employed in façade engineering and structural engineering. You must have flair, creativity, an eye for detail and a pragmatic approach to problem solving. You will also have a good working knowledge of facades and understand the key functional technical performance characteristics and modes of erection of various façade systems.
You must be prepared to undergo further training possibly up to Masters Degree level (if not already held), travel throughout the UK and worldwide, accept a challenge and converse with Clients at a high level.

Salary:
Is negotiable and will be dependent upon location, qualifications and experience. Masters Degree training costs will be sponsored by the Company. You will be eligible to join both pension and healthcare schemes.
